I tear up over fresh snow on the mountains, live performing arts, mother-son wedding dances, and Jesus' love for people. Ballet; doing it and watching it! I started dancing at age 3 and have no plans to stop. I'm inspired by one of my teachers who's still teaching class at the age of 75!
passion
As photographers we're a little obsessed with light and finding the BEST lighting we can for our subjects. In order to be the best photographers we can be, we search out light, learn to understand light, and love light - we consider this an awesome metaphor for how we want to live our lives as followers of Jesus, the Light of the world.
We met in college in Oregon. Tyler was studying film and Melanie art when we discovered a shared love for photography. After an incredible experience with our engagement and wedding photographers we moved back to Melanie's hometown of Colorado Springs and pursued photography together. We photographed our first wedding together in 2011 and began our photography business in 2013. Melanie now runs the business as lead photographer and Tyler stays involved as a second shooter for weddings and caretaker a.k.a. Best Dad Ever to our most precious gifts - our two kiddos.
