About The Della Terra Wedding Venue

If you have never heard of Wedgewood before, let me introduce you to your new best friends in the wedding industry. Founded in 1986, this group has thrown over 45,000 weddings across the United States. Here in Colorado, they have some of the most beloved venues, including Lioncrest Manor in Lyons, Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs, Tapestry House in Fort Collins, and of course, Della Terra in Estes Park. With so much experience under their belts, it’s safe to say they have this process down to a science! This group offers flexible, all-inclusive wedding packages as well as detailed planning services. Plus, they have relationships with all of the top vendors in the area, ensuring you have everything you could possibly need for the day of your dreams.

With Della Terra, you will have 14 private acres for your wedding day. The venue itself is a recent build, giving you modern amenities amidst the luscious countryside. The award-winning venue also operates as a boutique inn, providing you and a few select guests with a comfortable space where you can rest throughout your wedding weekend. With this team, you are about to have the celebration that feels straight out of a storybook!

Details of the Grounds

With Della Terra, you can start out your day on the property in one of their seven luxury suites. If you really feel like getting wild, you can invite your entire wedding party to stay on-site with you and spend the weekend making memories before your ceremony starts. You will have all the amenities, including a hot tub and on-site kitchens. Then, once your wedding day arrives, you will have an upscale space where you can get ready for your ceremony. Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen will be able to stay in a separate cabin just down the hill.

They offer indoor and outdoor options for your wedding day. If you would prefer the climate control inside the chateau, you will have a large event space complete with cathedral ceilings, hanging lights, and wooden accents. The back features a huge, multi-story window that will show off the surrounding property. This area also features a slight stage you can use as you exchange your vows.

If you would prefer an outdoor wedding, you are going to fall in love with the Mountain Vista Ceremony Site! This space was designed to give you the best views of the property, putting the MacGregor Mountain prominently in the background. The lush evergreens are going to put on a show all year round! Meanwhile, you will have a large wooden pergola you can use for your altar.

Della Terra Cocktail Hour And Wedding Reception

Once it’s time for your cocktail hour, you can use the Pinecrest Patio. This will put you right next to the chateau, marrying the rustic stone exterior with the surrounding mountain views for a backdrop that feels so perfectly Coloradoan. The venue has also hung up string lights, adding to the romantic vibes.

Your reception will take place inside the chateau. I love their event space because it feels warm and intimate while still allowing enough space for up to 200 people. You will have plenty of room to move around, dance, and celebrate all while you feel perfectly at home! The neutral colors are ideal for inviting in every type of style, while the windows will give you clear views of the night skies.

Photography Opportunities

Because Della Terra has been made for weddings, they have also designed the site to be photo-ready. As you get ready for your day, you will have a beautifully decorated suite that will shine in the backdrop of your portraits. The woods surrounding the estate tend to be ideal for your couple’s portraits. Not only will you get those iconic mountain views, but you will also have a charming stone bridge where you can share a quiet moment together. The pergola at the Mountain Vista Ceremony Site is always a great option for group pictures, giving you a large, flat space with fantastic views!

Wedding Details

In addition to providing you with a stunning spot for your wedding, Della Terra is going to make sure you have everything you need for your dream celebration. When you book them, you will start out by picking which package you would like. They give you tons of options on what you can include, and the packages are completely customizable.

You will work alongside their planners to understand all of your options. They are going to take care of the drinks and the food, and they will work with you to craft your ideal menu. They can even handle the cake if you would like! The venue includes tables, chairs, and linens with all of their packages, and they can include centerpieces. You can enjoy tons of add-ons, including DJ and MC services, accent lighting, photo booths, invitations, and officiants. With their packages, you will be able to enjoy 5-6 hours of event time.

A Snowy Winter Wedding at Della Terra Mountain Chateau

While you’re here, I’d love to share this amazing Della Terra wedding with you! We celebrated the beginning of 2024 with this incredibly beautiful, wintery wedding day. Photographing Marina and Aaron’s wedding was extra special because Marina was a bridesmaid for Meghan and Chris’ wedding in Vail a couple of years ago!

The day was incredibly cold (like maybe 5 degrees?!) but thankfully still sunny, and Marina and Aaron (and their families) were absolute rockstars for agreeing to go outside for their portraits! The couple shared a beautiful first look and then read personal vows to each other. I love the trend of reading personal vows after a First Look! It creates the opportunity for the couple to take their time sharing their hearts with each other without the pressure of the ceremony, and yet they still get to make formal vows later in front of their family and friends. It seems like a win-win to me!

Dreamy Winter Wedding

I was delighted that Marina chose to use a classy combination of black, champagne, and greenery for her color palette. The feel was simple yet elegant, which is always perfection when it comes to wedding decor. I also adore lots of greenery! Lace and Lilies knocked it out of the park with both the ceremony and reception decor. Marina and Aaron also brought in Little Man Ice Cream during their reception, so guests got to enjoy a choice of ice cream flavors in addition to cake. So fun!

Marina and Aaron’s day was gorgeous in every way. Despite it being ridiculously cold, Della Terra was the perfect backdrop for the dreamiest winter wedding I could have imagined. Marina carried a calm gracefulness throughout the whole day, and we enjoyed every minute celebrating the beginning of Marina and Aaron’s next journey together!
